Surveys Are Coming SEPT 8, not the 5th
Very short update! Surveys and preorders will open Sept 8, NOT the 5th!
Reason: I forgot it was labor day weekend, and I want Backerkit's support staff available you just in case! There are A LOT of backers on this project, and I want things to go smoothly as possible in case I need support on their end (they also advised me to do this as well).
This also gives me a bit more time to show updates on the wallet and stuff! It's still coming along.
Fixing Declined Pledges
From Kickstarter's article on fixing pledges:
If your pledge was declined, log in to Kickstarter and click the “Fix payment” button in the banner at the top of your screen. This will guide you through the process of changing or retrying your payment method. We'll also send you an email every 48 hours with a direct link to correct the issue. But don't delay: backers have 7 days to resolve payment issues before they're dropped from the project. We'll also automatically retry your pledge at the end of this timeframe.
It may not necessarily be the case that there’s a specific issue with your card, so much as that you’ll need to ask your bank why this charge in particular is being declined. You may also want to include the details of this transaction, such as:
The charge being from Kickstarter.
The amount pledged for the project.
The date when Kickstarter attempted to collect your pledge. This was the date that the project you backed ended. If the project hasn't ended yet, you can use the date you attempted to pledge.
Additionally, it may be helpful to request that your bank “whitelist” any charges from Kickstarter.
Once you’ve contacted your bank, feel free to log in to the Kickstarter account from which you pledged and click the “Fix Payment” button in the “Important Notifications” banner.
The add ons shop will have numerous stuff from my regular store in addition to the items on the Kickstarter -- it's not a bad idea to grab some stuff, because you won't need to pay shipping twice etc. Here's a sneak peek of the stuff ASIDE from the Cloud bags/wallets/etc.

Backerkit Surveys - Respond to it when it comes Sept 5!
This is how you pick your colors, freebies, and add-ons! You can even add more items with your personal survey link. It's pretty cool! Here are just a few of the things you will be able to add-on:

Extra Ita Keychains!
Extra cloud-themed pins !
The Cloud wallet!
You will receive a survey via the email you used to sign up for Kickstarter -- make sure you have access to this email address and check it periodically!
Approx.SEPTEMBER 5 -- Surveys Start: Be sure you fill this survey out! If you don't get your survey email within a day, check your spam folder, promotions/updates tab (gmail users), or search "backerkit" in your inbox. You can also recover your survey via https://cloud-ita-bag.backerkit.com/ by providing your email used to sign up with Kickstarter.
SEPTEMBER 26 --SurveyDeadline/Cards get Charged: You can pick your rewards/add ons until this point! (Note: if you pay with PayPal, you will be charged at checkout rather on the 26th).
Your shipping address will be able to be updated until we ship -- addresses will likely be locked in early 2021.
WARNING: if you do not answer the backerkit survey, the bag/items you want may not be available! I need to know what and how many of each color to order, so please make sure you answer the survey! If you exhaust the steps above to find/recover your survey and you still can't get access to it, please reach out to me via email.
Shipping Charges - Will be Charged at survey time!
As mentioned throughout the campaign/on social media and at the top of the campaign page:
Shipping will be charged in backerkit when surveys close. Shipping will be based on the package weight and will be made to be as low as possible for everyone. :)
Please make sure Kickstarter has actually charged you for your pledge successfully (you will get an email from them). If you got an errored payment and fail to update your payment method within 1 week, you will be dropped from the campaign and will miss out on your bag :(
In case you are reading this and missed the campaign/if you wanted to pay with Paypal and therefore couldn't pledge to the Kickstarter, the pre order shop will be open soon and remain open for limited time :)
I'm still working on the wallet and a couple more prototypes -- all will be revealed by the time surveys open (I hope). As soon as I have the samples in hand, I will also be photographing various bag+insert color combos. Which combos are you guys most interested in seeing? :)

New: Wallet Add On Prototyping, Black Cloud Design Update

Wallet Tier is added!
If you'd like to add a wallet to your pledge, you will be able to do so in backerkit (or, go to "manage pledge" and add an additional $25 to your current pledge).
Progress: The structure is improving, now to just implement the zipper for the coin pouch :)
I am hoping to at least show a finish prototype before the backerkit surveys go out after campaign ends, fingers crossed! I will do my best!
Changing the Black Cloud Face
There was some feedback on the last post that the black cloud's face was "scary", so I tried to improve it by making it look more mischievous than evil, haha. Here's the result from a poll of about 1300 respondants on Instagram:
We're going with Option B :)
I also have received a lot of positive feedback about the Vaporwave bag despite my initial concerns, so the design shown in the last update will likely not be changed much. :)
Regarding Surveys
You must watch your emails that you signed up to kickstarter with! Please make sure you keep an eye out. Surveys will likely NOT go out on Sept 3 immediately, because errored pledges (they're inevitable) must process/I'm trying to finish the wallet/I need to prepare them still. I am not sure the exact release date, but it should be within 2 weeks after the campaign. I will make an update here when I do send surveys!
Surveys will be open for about 2 weeks after they are sent. If you miss your survey, your bag of choice may not be available -- so make sure you look for the Backerkit survey! You will still be able to edit your address until the ship date however (a few months from now).
If you use Apple pay, please pay EXTRA special attention to this -- make sure you have an email linked to your apple pay account that you have access to, or it can cause some technical hiccups!
Regarding Payment
*PLEASE* assure your cards are up to date on Kickstarter. If your pledge drops, you will have 1 week to fix it after Sept 3 -- and if you don't fix it, you will miss out on this bag until around mid-2021.
Remember: shipping in charged AFTER the Kickstarter. Be prepared for this. I will likely charge the shipping not too long after surveys close.
